Jon Stewart I was born with an adult head and a tiny body. Like a Peanuts character.

Oprah I finally realized that being grateful to my body was key to giving more love to myself.

Gerald Celente (a trends forecaster known for being eerily accurate with his predictions and publisher of Trends Journal) joins George Noory (@george_noory) on radio talk show Coast to Coast AM.  Celente (@geraldcelente)  is a highly-respected trend forecaster who is often quoted by mainstream media.  Here are a few of the mainstream media that have championed his accuracy (including Oprah):

  • If Nostradamus were alive today, he’d have a hard time keeping up with Gerald Celente. — New York Post
  • When CNN wants to know about the Top Trends, we ask Gerald Celente. — CNN Headline News
  • A network of 25 experts whose range of specialties would rival many university faculties. —The Economist
  • Gerald Celente has a knack for getting the zeitgeist right.— USA Today
  • There’s not a better trend forecaster than Gerald Celente. The man knows what he’s talking about. — CNBC
  • Those who take their predictions seriously … consider the Trends Research Institute. — The Wall Street Journal

  • “A guy that obviously knows his trends.” — Bill O’Reilly
  • “Our favorite Trend Forecaster, Gerald Celente.”— Miles O’Brien

Some of his predictions he discusses in this interview include:

  • Terror 2010 (a major terror attack and a few small terrorist attempts in America);
  • Crash of 2010 – all of the stimulus money all over the world (countries dumping money to keep the bank crooks afloat will dry up and cause a bigger crash than in 2008);
  • The fulfillment of the crash of the commercial real estate sector;
  • A return to elegance and quality as in the last great depression (a rebirth of that attitude);
  • Shape up America trend (a reversal of obesity, new age of wellness and taking care of ourselves physically, emotionally and spiritually);
  • Mothers of invention (when there’s chaos, you work from that and find a new form — new ways of thinking and doing things will emerge);
  • China will not emerge as a superpower in the vacuum created by America because they have too many people and too many problems;  2010 will be the breaking point for the entire world

When asked if he thought if, by 2010, the sun will break at the end of this dark tunnel we’re in, he is bluntly pessimistic:

“No, not at all.  I don’t anticipate a tremendous 2010 economically… I think people who are working, they’re holding back and doing okay but there are a lot of people out there that aren’t… It’s [unemployment] out of control.”

Yes, it’s all doom and gloom.  That seems to be the running theme in all of the predictions being made this years and there’s no reason to think these predictions are wrong.  We pretty much all see the writing on the wall (and it’s not pretty).  Still, there is always hope in the midst of the storm.  It will be interesting to see what good comes out of all of this.  Below is his radio interview and a bonus video from his site wherein he discusses more predictions.

So, is Celente on the right track with his predictions?

    Is there going to be a major food crisis this year? (created or otherwise) What about food riots? Also, what is his prediction on the unemployment rate by the end of the year in precentage points?

    I’ve said this for years; that this type of ecoonomics can only work for the politicians because it couldn’t work in your household or business. when can anyone reward another for no production (welfare). Why do you think the stock market was so strong during the 80’s-90’s; this was the biggest sucking sound of your money/investments working for the corporations moving jobs to foreign soils. Remember Ross Perot on NAFTA “this will be the biggest sucking of jobs by corporations and wage loss to individuals this country has ever seen. We had our Paul Revere known as Ross Perot. But; Americans were again too political and not common-sensed enough to realize; TRUE ECONOMICS, again you accepted political economics, only based on buying votes from your financial security. So almost 20 years later, in a time when communication is utmost and America votes to select winners by texting “Dancing with the Stars”, Why is it that our government is still in the PONY EXPRESS time of selecting our representatives and for all consideration—Why do we need representatives; when bills could be presented and America votes, and to really get this thing straightened out ; we need the one free Killing Rule—–this would keep all people safe from swindlerers, rapists, liers, cheats, murderers, virtually all wrong-doings——-example; If someone raped; killed; swindled in my family would there be court restitution—–I doubt it! But remember; you only have one pass—-so use it wisely. Imagine the respect that would be created by just one “UNKNOWING”. Has he still got his free killing or not????????? I better not–don’t know, or I wonder if he has a wife, son, family that might have one to give?????? Boy; I better not try this!!
