Jackie, Tito and Marlon Jackson (pretty much the Jacksons nobody knows or cares about) visited Jimmy Kimmel Live! to chat about their new reality tv show on A&E The Jacksons – A Family Dynasty (premiering this Sunday at 9PM). 

I don’t know which is stranger: (1) the fact that “the other” Jacksons (the ones nobody knows or cares about) are being interviewed on a national talk show  (2)  that Jackie, Tito and Marlon sitting on a couch next to an extremely tame and well-behaved Pee Wee Herman or (3) that Tito Jackson (the Jackson everyone loves to riff on) is wearing a big pimpin’, mac-daddy hat (adorned with a bright red feather — can we get that hat it’s own talk show please?).

The big scandal of this interview (and the funny running joke) is that Jermaine (the family spokesperson and the only other Jackson out of the five who had somewhat of a respectable music career) is missing (or as Marlon put it — “Jamissing” – ha! – points for hamming it up).   Kimmel (like Columbo investigating a crime scene) interrogates the Jacksons about their brother’s mysterious absence:

“He did this on the reality show.  He dissappeared.  You guys were supposed to do a photo shoot or something.  He had pink eye.  Is he not reliable?”

The fact that they all pretty much shrug and say, “that’s just the way he is”  leads us to the obvious conclusion that Jermaine is a flake and the Jackson most likely to appear on the side of a milk carton.  He even blew off Kimmel (hysterical).

These guys (contrary to what people may think) have been busy:  Marlon is working on a project “in Africa” (no country imparticular, just… Africa).  Tito is still touring and playing music (seriously, he is) and Jackie is working on his son’s rap career (how’s that going?).  And while everyone else has problems with poppa Joe Jackson (including other members of the family) these guys are very happy with how he raised them (wow – is this some sort of Jedei mind trick?).

Kimmel does a great job of extracting a funny interview from the Jacksons nobody talks about… ever.  If you want to know more about them, watch their reality tv show this Sunday.
