The last week of a truly bizarre summer (half of it felt like Spring) and we are only a few days away from the launch of a new talk show season that bring us no fewer than seven new talk shows all hosted by top celebrity talent.  Until then, the usual suspects (those who aren’t on hiatus) are still in the groove.  This week has found us with some interesting “end of the Summer” talk show content.

Some highlights we like:  Cher and George Lopez on The Ellen DeGeneres Show ♦ John McCain and Third Eye Blind on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien ♦ Chris Brown and Charles Manson’s disciple Linda Kasabian on Larry King Live ♦ Jeremy Piven, Dr. John P. Holdren (Dir. of White House Office of Science & Technology) and The Black Crows on Late Show with David Letterman ♦ Lil Wayne and Kevin Spacey on The View ♦ Rob Zombie, Maxwell and (Crazy Aunt) Kathy Lee Gifford on Jimmy Kimmel Live

That should be enough to hold us over until the season premiers (including Jay Leno’s, Oprah’s first episode of the season featuring Tyra and the rest of the talk show dons and divas returning from summer break). We’ll keep bringing you clips and commentary (not to mention the many political and news talk shows whose guest change and are booked depending on the day’s headlines).
