Jon Stewart I was born with an adult head and a tiny body. Like a Peanuts character.

Oprah I finally realized that being grateful to my body was key to giving more love to myself.

Tragedy: Fiore, Jenkins, Hasman & Fiore's Mother

Tragedy: Fiore, Jenkins, Hasman & Fiore's Mother

Not all suicides are greeted with sorrow and regret.  The boyfriend of slain model Jasmine Fiore (Robert Hasman) could barely mask his contempt and disgust for the man who was accused of murdering Jasmine and who subsequently took his own life in a motel yesterday.

Looking hardened by the events of the last few weeks if not completely drained, Hasman unapologetically expressed his feelings to Anne Curry (@anncurry) on TODAY (@todayshow) regarding the suicide of Fiore’s killer (Ryan Jenkins):

“I’m happy Ryan killed himself.”

The resentment runs deep.  Hasman apparently received a text message from Fiore two days before her murder telling him she wanted to see him.  It was this text message that police believe triggered a jealous rage in Jenkins that ended in the the savage killing of Fiore.

Fiore’s mother, however, was more reflective.  Lisa Lapore expressed uncertainty mixed with resolve that the events of the last two weeks were finally over:

“It’s a mixed reaction.  It brings some closure to what’s been going on… We still have a long process of closure… All of the men in her life have been incredibly great, loving, good men.  I supported her when she broke up with him. They had a rocky relationship…and I encouraged her in her separation. That’s all you can do. She was 28.

I think no one will ever know that this man was a professional con ma.  He targeted women, I believe.  He wanted to be something that he wasn’t.  He wanted to be and have what Jasmine had.”

Police officers in Canada are still looking for a young woman (identified on the motel security video footage) who drove Jenkins to the hotel, checked him in and then left shortly thereafter.

VH1 (@VH1) has subsequently canceled the dating reality tv show that Jenkins auditioned for after admitting their screening process was not as thorough as it should have been in his case.  Questions are now being rased about the lax screening processes of reality tv casting in the wake of several violent crimes committed by former reality tv stars.  Which begs the question:  can anything be done to keep the garbage out when you’re scraping the bottom of the barrel for talent?
