Jon Stewart I was born with an adult head and a tiny body. Like a Peanuts character.

Obama takes to the conservative radio airwaves

Obama takes to the conservative radio airwaves

Desperate times call for desperate measures.  With conservatives leaning in hard on the healthcare plan with an army of angry (and some argue misinformed) supporters ratcheting up fire and passion at town halls and democrats beginning to grumble at what they perceive to be soft-shoeing by Obama (not to mention a looming deadline), President Obama and his administration are surely experiencing desperate times.

The Obama administration is so desperate to save their healthcare sinking ship that the president (in a bold move) will be taking his message to the people on conservative talk radio according to The New York Times.

The interview will take place at the White House and will be conducted by Philidelphia conservative radio talk show host Michael Smerconish (the first time any such broadcast has been done from the white house).

Even though Smerconish is conservative, he supported Obama in the 2008 presidential election and came under fire from fellow prominent republicans for doing so.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said the White House responded to an invitation from Smerconish’s show.  The interview will take place Thursday (August 20th).
