Hoda Kotb (@hodakotb) and Kathy Lee Gifford (@thekathylee) discuss hot topics on NBC’s TODAY show.  Is it just me or do these two women remind you of your aunts at the family barbecue after they’ve had a few too many spiked Kool-Aids? The dippy cowboy hats don’t help.

On the Hot Topics segments today they dished on Madonna’s buff veiny arms (and how gross they look), Michael Jackson’s doctor (and possible murderer), OctoMom, reality tv, Sarah Palin (@akgovsarahpalin) and a bevy of other hot topics.

Apparently, while Kathy Lee & Hoda were donning dippy cowboy hats in New York, Al Roker (@alroker) and Matt Lauer (@mattlauer) were wearing matching Hawaiian shirts in Florida while playing with a parrot.  What the heck is going on over there at TODAY?

Unfortunately, Kathy Lee and Hoda remove the dippy-cowboy hats less than halfway through the segment (I feel an immediate sense of sadness and loss).  Bring back the hats and the drunken aunties!!
