Jon Stewart I was born with an adult head and a tiny body. Like a Peanuts character.

Oprah I finally realized that being grateful to my body was key to giving more love to myself.

Filmmaker David Lynch brings us his new ambitious, visionary project called “Interview Project” (@interviewproj).   Interview project is a series of interviews with ordinary Americans living on the fringes of society in small towns filmed during a 70-day, 20,000-mile road trip managed by Austin Lynch (David Lynch’s son), and a friend, Interview Project is nothing short of ambitious and its results, so far, are haunting.

You can watch the auture filmmaker himself describe the purpose and the passion behind “Interview Project” here.  We will be featuring the interviews that Lynch had with people across America on a regular basis here at ArtofTalk.tv.

Below is the very first interview Lynch and his team recorded and uploaded of a man named Jess.  Here is a description of the encounter from Interview Project’s website:

“Jess was our first interview.  We found him sitting on the side of the road during the middle of the day.  He told us he was waiting for his trailer to be repaired so that he could go live alone in the desert.  Although hesitant at first, Jess agreed to spare a bit of his time and talk to us.  His rugged delivery and appearance soon gave way to a gentle man who was just looking for some peace in his life.  After leaving Jess we headed further east into Arizona to look for our next interview.”

In the interview, Jess sums up his life in one short sentence:

“I ain’t proud of anything except being alive.”
