“Queens of Comedy” star Mo’Nique is joining the, increasingly growing, talk show fray with her own late night talk show for BET cable network premiering this fall.
Tentatively titled “The Mo’Nique Show“, the show will be a standard hour-long talk show format and will be co-produced by Mo’Nique and her husband (Sidney Hicks).
The late night talk is about to get very diversified as women (black women at that) are signed to compete with the likes of Conan O’Brien, David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon. In addition to Mo’Nique, comedian Wanda Sykes (”The Wanda Sykes Show“) will also be debuting a late night talk show on Fox.
Also added to the list of black female comedians scoring talk shows launching in the fall is Aisha Tyler (@aishatyler) whose talk show (”The Aisha Tyler Show“) will be on ABC.
The new season of talk shows this fall is looking like it’s going to be a great one with these women going up against the big guns. Something tells me these ladies are all going to bring it.
