Jon Stewart I was born with an adult head and a tiny body. Like a Peanuts character.

Oprah I finally realized that being grateful to my body was key to giving more love to myself.

Matt Lauer (solid)

Matt Lauer (solid)

Matt Lauer learns how to make a healthy salad on “The Today Show” (@todayshow) featuring a nutritionist discussing the do’s and dont’s of eating salads this summer.  Basically, when you’re at the salad bar, stay away from anything that looks remotely interesting and delicious (I speak, of course, to my carnevour friends out there — I’m veggie eater so all the greens at the salad bar excite me to no… freakin’… end).

Lauer and his co-host both create their ideal salad in 30 seconds to see which is the healthiest.  I won’t give away the results but apparently Lauer’s salad moves needs work.

Do:  choose healthy vinaigrette instead of the artery-clogging (but oh-so-delicious) stuff Lauer pours generously on his salad

Don’t: choose processed and fried meats that add calories based solely on how they are cooked (choose lean proties that are grilled instead)

Do:  pile your plate up with fresh veggies (especially greens)

Don’t:  pretend you eat a fattening salad every day and can maintain a killer 6-pack like Matt Lauer – we all know he must surely work out and eat lean  (I don’t care if he does make a fattening salad, the man’s body is SOLID – I’ll have whatever he’s eating).

May your summer be full of healthy tossed salads.
